Real World Construction - Dome

- product - a geodesic dome
- actor - teams of five people / team
- rule - zero cost , packaged , prefabricated , accommodate 5 , carryable by 3 people , assembled in 30 minutes , only by team members , show team identity , life : 12 months , recyclable

Lecture 3 - Product
- A product may be viewed as having the form-space , nodes-paths and illusion.
Attribute of form - colour , shape , texture , scales , heavy , size , light , pattern , proportion etc
Attribute of space - floor , land , etc
- A product may also be an illusion.
- There are 3 main types of illusion :
cognitive illusions , physiological illusions , literal optical illusions
- A product has it's own identity.
Such as identity - beauty , unique , big , small , smooth , rough , etc
Lecture 2 - Site ( Scale of the Built Environment )
- Production is a factor of scale.
- There are seven scales are used by the various professions in built environment.
- Seven scales are object , interior , building , premise , urban , regional and global.
intention - ideologies , design theories
act - scope of work ( development's prosedures )
product - design of physical objects to physical world
actor - industrial designer ( object ) , interior architect ( interior ) , architect ( building ) , landscape architect ( premise ) , urban designer ( urban ) , planner ( regional ) , " governor " ( global )
rule - legal aspects of developments
site - from factories to the internet
- These seven scales need to be properly looked at.
- While scale 1-6 may be detailed out by students , the scale 7 is indicated by a question of how we look at the globe
- The earth becomes a dying planet may be explained using the Production Model as follows:

actor - earthling , inhabitant of earth , global villager , designer , builder , developer

- The dying planet is a sustainable earth?
